Icicle Fund Opens Up Application Process for NCW Non-Profits - NewsRadio 560 KPQ - KPQ

The Icicle Fund, established by Harriet Bullitt and now in the hands of Sleeping Lady Mountain Resort, is now accepting applications for its Creek and River grants. Both grants support North Central Washington non-profit organizations that focus on art, environment and history elements.

“One thing that’s unique about Icicle Fund is that we support three large areas. We support organizations that work with art, with environment or conservation and with history in North Central Washington,” said Christine Jakobsen Morgan, executive director. “So it’s pretty broad who can apply.”

Creek grants are single year grants with the goal of filling community gaps in the three targeted areas and can reach up to $7,500. River grants can vary between one or two year grants of up to $15,000 with the goal of curating long term impact on the local or regional community.

“What we also emphasize is that we support organizations in doing the work they need to really deliver their mission. We can support with operating support, capital support, with capacity building as well as program support,” said Jakobsen Morgan.

Over a twenty year span, the Icicle Fund has awarded $40 million to over 100 non-profit organizations.

The deadline for both programs is March 1st.
