At a campaign rally in Bossier City, La., the president mocked Schiff, attacking his physical stature and quipping that he "will not make the LSU football team," referring to Louisiana State University.

"Little Shifty Schiff. He's got the little 10-inch neck. 'What size shirts do you need, Adam?' 'I wear a size nine.' Nine," Trump joked to a laughing crowd Thursday evening.

The president and his allies have focused their ire on Schiff in recent weeks, accusing the chairman of running an impeachment inquiry without allowing the Trump administration to call its own witnesses.
Trump and his GOP allies have also accused Schiff of having contact with a whistleblower who initially sparked the inquiry with a complaint about the president's conversation with Ukraine's president in July.
Schiff has defended his handling of the inquiry, and argued that the evidence uncovered so far points to Trump withholding military aid to Ukraine on the condition of Ukraine's government investigating former Vice President Joe BidenJoe BidenGOP senators balk at lengthy impeachment trial 2020 Democrats make play for veterans' votes 2020 Dems put focus on stemming veteran suicides MORE (D), a 2020 candidate for president.
"But on the basis of what the witnesses have had to say so far, there are any number of potentially impeachable offenses: including bribery, including high crimes and misdemeanors," he said on Tuesday. "The basic allegations against the president are that he sought foreign interference in a U.S. election, that he conditioned official acts on the performance of these political favors."
